However, a few days ago during my trip I got to admire a whole different scenery in the mountains. As it has been snowing for some time in my country, everything I saw made it feel
like a different trip. This definitely helped ease my nerves regarding my exams (no matter how much I study I'm always nervous) and made me feel thankful for getting to experience it. At noon, the Sun was shining so the covers of snow looked like they were made out of Cinderella's dress (in Disney's animated version) and the frozen trees seemed as if made of glass. The only thing I could complain about was the train, the service and the -20 degrees Celsius temperature that froze my nose and almost made me fall on my butt (because of the ice).
Now that I am home I'm just enjoying my time for a while- probably going to read some Kenko and Poe later on while I'm taking the best of baths 2016: bubbles, honey moisturizer and perfume; probably going to add some tea to that mixture.
Something that I've been pretty excited about recently is the topic of History- I got the National Geographic History magazine about 2 weeks ago from the train station and have read the entire issue in one single day. I was really impressed with the quality of the images inside, the quality of the paper and how easily the text itself engages the reader. This issue had some interesting articles about samurai, George Washington and tomb raiders- I'm slightly disappointed that only 6 issues come out throughout the whole year but I suppose it takes some time to release some good quality material.
Another update is that I'm back on the obsessed-with-Disney-songs wagon. I've been listening to I See the Light and Lavender's Blue (Dilly Dilly) like a mad human. Reminds me of the fact that I would really enjoy seeing the lanterns myself (there is a festival in Thailand, I believe).
Apart form that, we'll see where this week takes us.
