Before night

As winter is here I've found myself having a hard time going to sleep at the right time. The day's gotten shorter which means that by the time I finish all the things I have to do it's already pitch dark outside and that really doesn't make me shut everything down and go to sleep,on the contrary,it makes me feel ok with staying up longer than usual. That leads to waking up feeling tired. Now,I've tried changing up things a little to help me find a new
balance for the winter days so that I get the most out of them.

Wake up early:if I start early that means I get to take things slower and have a nice breakfast and enjoy my tea (or a hot chocolate topped with -my weight in- whipped cream) .It's also the best time to plan ahead the day or the whole week.During this part I let myself check Instagram and read a few articles and listen to music-starting the day on the right foot could actually define anybody's day ,in my opinion.

Once you have your plan, stick to it:I do not really plan my day from hour to hour because you never know when something's going to pop up out of the blue but just marking down all that things I've covered is a real deal-like,it's addicting to know that you can do(almost) everything you plan on doing .

Take little breaks from time to time:just because you have to many things in one day, from going somewhere to working on different assignments or other things doesn't mean you can't take a break once in a while and relax.for example:I like to play with my cat or drink a hot chocolate/tea,you name it,what could actually help you, maybe even watch a movie or go out to your favorite cafe or library.Read that book you've always wanted to finish or catch up with your friends.

A routine:before going to bed I like to take my time.I make myself a cup of tea and let it cool while I go on and wash my face and moisturize.I then look over the things I've done that day and finally switch myself off from work stuff and watch youtube videos or read something before I go to sleep.

Now,this is my basic everyday rule in one go so it's not always like this, sometimes my day is rushed or even slower. Also, every person is different. For some reason,I prefer to wake up early and get things done during the first parts of the day but other people might like to sleep in and be night owls.If you are looking for a way to organize your day you should bear that in mind-find some way that works best for you.
