Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua and Perfection Lumiere Velvet

I am sure you all know about these two foundations as they both have received a lot of hype, especially the first one.I am going to talk about each one separately and then compare them and share the final conclusion.

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua-it's been around for quite a while and it is no secret that it is a favorite in the beauty world.I love this foundation-it really gives the illusion of a second skin-most of the times I've been praised for my skin I was wearing
this product, people not realizing I had foundation on.It creates the perfect combination between dewy and matte-I have combination skin and I didn't have any problems with the staying power-all day until I got home in the afternoon. The texture:it is a fluid foundation and I applied it with my fingers usually but with a brush as well, the later giving more coverage in my opinion-you can really build up with this-and it took me a short amount of time in the morning to apply it.This has a really pleasant scent-I don't think it would bother anyone. The packaging is very travel-friendly but would still look gorgeous on a vanity table.

Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet-I originally wanted to get the Vitalumiere Aqua version but of course the packaging and the fact that it was a new release got the best of me so I gave in and got this one. What really reminds me of the other formula is that it's very hard to tell that you have foundation on which I believe it's the best compliment a foundation can get and one of the most important. It does create a matte effect and when it says 'velvet' on the bottle that's what it does-it leaves the skin very soft. The staying power is pretty much the same. The texture:one point in minus-it is a fluid foundation but it's on the extreme if we were to put it on a scale-I have to be very careful not to get it everywhere when I'm applying it-some people may not find it a very important fact but because of that texture I was only able to apply it with my fingers, the brush was a total fail. This has a scent as well,a little more pronounced compared to the Vitalumiere aqua.It has the same idea for the packaging only it is full black.

They are both very good foundations although it seems to me they kind of compensate for the each other's flaws(which are hard to tell/do not show off). There's no better between them-it's just what you want to get out of wearing a foundation-your expectations ,most exactly. If I were to get one of these now that we are getting closer to the colder months of the year,I would pick the Vitalumiere Aqua mostly because of the texture-that's what actually bothers me about the other. But again,if they don't have my shade or something(That I don't know about)makes me change my mind,I probably wouldn't try another product,I'd just go with the Lumiere Velvet.
